The baby regurgitates a 6 cm worm: the infantile milk in question and a complaint filed
The story begins last November. The baby of a Breton couple, Ylonna, then 3 months old falls ill.The baby having a lot of fever, his mother brings him to the emergency room.
A few days later, the little girl vomited a parasitic worm which measures between 6 and 7 centimeters, according to the police station which confirms information from Ouest France.
A larva that can only come from infantile milk according to the parents
According to the mother, the VER was analyzed by the hospital laboratory and the doctors confirmed to him that it was a parasitic worm.Such a worm cannot develop in the body unless it is ingested. However at 3 months, the baby nourished exclusively from infantile powdered milk from the Gallia brand which belongs to Danone.
The parents of the little girl today aged 6 months, decided to file a complaint for months after because they had similar business in the media.Indeed, another complaint was filed in Puy-de-Dôme where the larva had been found directly in the milk box and another case was reported in the Landes, according to our colleagues from Ouest-France.
Hypotheses put forward by the manufacturer
Gallia brand infantile milk is made by the Danone group.According to the financial director of the company, Cécile Cabanis: """"In the state of information transmitted and without the boxes of milk having been returned to us for analysis, several hypotheses can explain the presence of an insect: the conditions oftransport, storage in warehouse, conservation, etc..""""
Avant d'ajouter : """"En ce qui concerne la chaîne de production, nous rappelons que la poudre de lait ne transite pas à l’air libre. It walks in closed pipes and is conditioned under protective atmosphere with less than 2 % oxygen, making it impossible to survive a living organism under these conditions.""""
Waiting for the complaint to be transmitted to the prosecution to see if the latter decides to diligen an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the presence in the milk boxes or elsewhere.
