Powdered milk.Chinese Synutra again in difficulty
At first, the factory management invoked Synutra China's desire to work with 2020 dated milk powder ... but, on Friday, it announced to employees that the Chinese company would have a debt of 13.5million euros towards its neighbor Nutri'Babig, a subsidiary of the Sodiaal cooperative.
The contract which links Sodiaal to Synutra is quarterly and must be renegotiated regularly, which is, a priori, not the case since July.Negotiations all the more tense than, faced with the debt of his client, Sodiaal no longer gives him products.Hence a very limited production.
Strategic sector
This is not the first time that the Chinese company Synutra has been in trouble.In March 2019, faced with the unpaids of its Chinese client (30 million euros), Sodiaal, the first French dairy cooperative (20,000 members), had bought most of the Carhaix factory.Leaving Synutra only the packaging part for its Chinese market.
