New digital vital card: soon the end of the green plastic card?
Our good old green plastic card will soon be just a vague memory.So far, all social policyholders will be able to dematerialize their vital card on their smartphone or tablet.This project intends to simplify public procedures and avoid the different updates, sometimes tedious, of the vital card.
Digital vital card: where and how to get it?
To hold the precious sesame, the insured must download the "APCV" mobile application, available via Google Play or the Apple Store.Once the app has been downloaded, the user's identity will then be checked for the first time via a biometric control.The insured can then activate and secure his connection via a four -digit secret code.
The application will contain all the data from the user's classic vital card and those of each of their beneficiaries.Like the plastic version, the new formula will allow the reimbursement of acts and services and access to the services of your personal space (declaration of doctor, etc.).
From when ?
The generalization of this dematerialized card to the whole territory will not intervene before 2023. No worries, for the moment, no injunction is planned.The most recalcitrant can always continue to use their traditional card.
Soon experienced in twelve departments
At first, the government had chosen to experiment with this service on the basis of volunteer in the health insurance funds of the Rhône and the Alpes-Maritimes.Since October 1, ten other departments will be concerned: Paris, Saône-et-Loire, Seine-Maritime, Bas-Rhin, North, Gironde, Hérault, Loire-Atlantique, Sarthe, Le Puy-de-Dôme and Paris.If you live in these territories, you can now participate in the experiment.Be careful however, for the time being, the health insurance card is only part of the traditional card because all practitioners are unable to read the new version.
