Confessions in 2018
As a reminder, Nordahl Lelandais is the main and only suspect in this case. In February 2018, the remains of Maëlys had been found thanks to the information communicated to the investigators by the former dog handler. The man had confessed to having accidentally killed the little girl. Traces of the girl's DNA were found in her vehicle. The investigators then found bones as well as the clothes and a shoe of the little girl at the place indicated by Nordahl Lelandais. The IRCGN experts had subsequently highlighted a fracture of the girl's jaw, caused before her death, "by one or more violent blows".
