Fashion Week 2021 in Paris: the return of fashion shows in face -to -face news
The Fashion Week 2021 will present in Paris the Spring-summer 2022 collections of creators and great designers, from September 27 to October 5, 2021. For this return in face-to-face, fashion will make the show, with around thirty parades and the Display of spectacular exhibitions. This will be an opportunity to discover the new trends in female ready-to-wear, for the heyday of 2022.
"All the big houses are there with a few exceptions, there are new brands , we feel this appetite for the physical, the show ", welcomed Pascal Morand, executive president of the federation of haute couture and fashion, with AFP. 97 fashion houses will offer parades and a third party will be open to the public.
Saint Laurent will be back, after having protested the Fashion Week frenzy, Tuesday, September 28 in the evening, in its traditional niche. The famous Dior, Chanel, Hermès and Louis Vuitton also prepared a physical show, just like Givenchy, whose artistic director will present his very first real parade, and Balenciaga.
However, the COVVID crisis has changed mentalities and certain temporary implementations will keep their place. French designer Marine Serre and Belgian Dries Van Notten will make a virtual presentation, after launching a manifesto, supported by hundreds of small houses, for a more eco-responsible fashion. Pascal Morand finds that the virtual enriches the physical and evokes the choice of many houses for a hybrid fashion week.
The fashion week will be closed by a tribute parade to Alber Elbaz, couturier and former artistic director of Lanvin, death of COVID in April. To continue to admire the incredible outfits of fashion designers over the years, the Museum of Decorative Arts will host an exhibition on Thierry Mugler, Jean Paul Gaultier will present from October 6 an exhibition at the Cinémathèque and the Palais Galliera , Parisian fashion museum, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vogue Paris magazine from October 2.
