“Size is not an objective for a cooperative group, recalls Dominique Chargé, president of La Coopération agricole. It must respond to the logic of the activity and the needs of the markets and members. However, the president believes that "many cooperatives play on the size effect to compensate for significant losses in profitability". It refers to the economic study carried out in 2019 by the High Council for Agricultural Cooperation (HCCP).
