Amel Bent has a miscarriage, she confides in Seven to Eight
According to a study based on the last twenty years, nearly 11% of women have had a miscarriage. A miscarriage is a spontaneous termination that occurs within the first five months of pregnancy. Since it is most common during the first trimester, women are advised to wait for the first ultrasound in three months before announcing the news of their pregnancy. Like other women before her, Amel Bent had the misfortune to experience the miscarriage. Moved, she spoke about it on the set of Seven to Eight:
“Very quickly, in the days that followed, I also began to feel other sensations that I know less about… It starts with cramps in the stomach. Of course, I immediately called my doctor who told me that it was a bit normal. As soon as the recording is over, I will go see him to do the famous first ultrasound. But the pain intensifies. I don't say anything, I go through recording days saying to myself: 'I hope it's nothing serious'
“In the end it's disillusionment, since when I arrive at the doctor and they do the ultrasound, he actually tells me that I am losing the baby I was expecting. It's a shock because, casually, from the moment you take a pregnancy test and it turns out to be positive, you are pregnant . We live it deeply in his body, in his heart. We share it with the person we live with. We are already imagining a future, things are going very, very quickly! When you are told: 'You are pregnant but you will not have children', it is devastating! (…) It's a very particular situation, very painful, both physically and psychologically. »

The French singer has recovered, thanks to the support of her husband and her daughters. She also approaches this pregnancy with a certain serenity, without the shadow of her miscarriage being too heavy: “Now that the first trimester is over, I am more relaxed. On the other hand, I am very attentive to my body. I saw the baby, he's doing great, but I'll be apprehensive until the end .
Amel Bent is already the proud mother of two daughters, Sofia and Hana. Both children are very excited to welcome a little brother or sister. Amel Bent recounts the moment when the whole family learned that she was pregnant. If she wanted to surprise her husband, with her two daughters, it's a waste of time:
“They are so happy! I learned that I was pregnant this summer (…) my husband suggested that I buy a pregnancy test. I don't know how my 5 year old daughter knows this, but when I took the test out of the bag, she was like, 'Mom, are you in a hanger (sic)?' When I came out of the toilet, my two daughters snatched the test from my hands and shouted all over the living room: 'Mom she's in a hanger!' That's how their dad found out about my pregnancy ."

The one who always wanted to be a mother (and have lots of children) seems happier than ever. She has found a soul mate, a man who loves and understands her. And today, she no longer hesitates to say it loud and clear: “With my husband, we communicate a lot. Well especially me. We must respect the behavior, the character of the other. You can't ask someone to change if you love them. He does with everything I am, I never feel like he's in the way. For example, I'm very talkative, because I'm afraid of silence, of being bored. I am anxious about the passage of time and I need my husband to counter that. My husband understood it well and he respects it“
